Description The 12th Burton 1st Tutbury & Hatton Scout Group group began in 1947. The group has grown over the years and is still growing with over 90 children attending on a regular basis.

Purpose

Being a member of the Scout Association / Group helps children and young adults reach their full potential by offering fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment.

Services

Weekly section meetings for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts with a wide and varied programme throughout the year including day trips, camps, boat trips, Malvern expedition and the Winter camp at Edale, walking Man Tor, Kinder Scout, Hope Valley.

Opening Times Beavers meet on Mondays, Cubs meet on Wednesdays and Scouts meet on Fridays.
Eligibility Criteria The Scout Group accepts young people of both sexes in the following sections; Beaver Scouts (6 to 8 yrs old), Cub Scouts (8 to 10 1/2 years old) and Scouts 10 1/2 to 14 years old)

Service Costs There is a subscription cost on a termly basis, collected 3 times a year.
