|Purpose||It aims for deaf adults to join the fun with drama and performances.
Hearing people can join in with understanding of BSL. British Sign Language with level 2.
The group aims to
* give deaf people an opportunity to access Theatre through their first language BSL/S
* for members and the audience to see/learn new skills
* to educate through performance to a wide range of ages and cover wide range of topics
* breakdown communication barriers between cultures
* hold workshops within the community to encourage integration.
3D Derby Deaf Drama was set up in 2002 with funding from CVS community Voluntary Services.
It has given deaf people opportunities to learn new skills like; acting, directing, group work, administration and costume skills.
We have been independent deaf-led voluntary group since 2004.

You don't have to be a good actor to join in. If you are interested and have other skills like; sewing/costumes making, makeup or stage design, you are welcome to get involved.
