Purpose

97C Well For Life exists to provide emotional and practical support to individuals, their families and carers infected or affected by HIV.
Specific aims are:
Reduce the physical, emotional and financial hardship caused by living with HIV; Challenge the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV; Seek to empower and enable individuals living with HIV to live a fulfilling and productive life.  The charity organisation provide social activities and complementary therapies, and a drop-in day is open every Wednesday from 10am to 5pm where people can come together and share a nutritious cooked meal on site and access peer support and information and guidance on issues such as housing, benefits, debt, financial issues and form filling. They also provide training and education around HIV, sexual health. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. They provide social activities and complementary therapies, and a drop-in day is open every Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm. 

Services

Providing one to one emotional and practical support to people with HIV, their families, partners, friends and carers.
Peer support during weekly Wednesday drop-ins 10-4pm.
Counselling to be restarted in 2018.  Advocacy, information, advice and guidance by phone or face to face and referrals to agencies. The organisation can help with any enquiries relating to benefits, form filling, help with housing or debt.
Women's Group and wellbeing groups. Please ask a member of staff.
An in-house health check clinic with Rapid Point of Care HIV testing.
Training opportunities for free courses available.
