Services | The club offers swimming lessons for non-swimmers from age 5yrs upwards From that age, members also start to learn basic lifesaving skills, following the Rookie programme coordinated by RLSS - Royal Lifesaving Society. Currently, the club does not take part in swimming competitions or galas, but club members of all ages are very active in lifesaving competitions at club, regional, National and European levels. In October 2010 a squad of 8 HSC girl members (age 16 to 18 yrs) took part for the first time ever in the World Lifesaving Championships which were held in Egypt. The club operates an extensive waiting list for under 5's interested in starting swimming lessons. Existing swimmers are assessed for stroke-skills and developmental needs, then allocated an appropriate section within the pool. |
