| Purpose | provides emotional support and practical support for isolated people in the local community. |
| Services | Community Companions provides as much or as little support as you need to discover a better life locally. Our team of trained volunteers offer companionship in the following ways: Social Companions - One-one companionship either in your home or to help you access social/leisure/educational activities. social Companions will also offer time-limited 'Home from Hospital' support. Driver Companions - Our driver Companions will take you in their own cars to medical or similar appointments if you are unable to use public transport or taxis. They will wait with you and bring you home. Shopping companions - Assistance with high street shopping at "Time Out". Our weekday service provides the opportunity to do your shopping, socialise and enjoy a cup of tea. |
