Purpose

To preserve and upgrade the Town Hall for the benefit of the community as a whole. We do this by offering a range of entertainment and activities for our community, a vital meeting-place to combat rural isolation and to improve the lives of everyone.

The Town Hall offers the best in theatre, live comedy and music from leading artists and musicians, a regular craft fair and myriad community groups and activities. We offer rooms for hire for community groups and businesses.
Dating from 1889, Bakewell Town Hall is at the heart of the ancient market town. Operated by a charity, Bakewell Town & Community Trust, the Town Hall is the home of an original theatre, the Town Council and Registrars.
