Support for people who have Down's Syndrome together with their parents, carers, friends, siblings, wider families and professionals working within the sphere of Down's Syndrome.

Downs Syndrome Derby has existed for almost twenty years - first as a branch of the National Downs Syndrome Association and more recently as a registered charity in it's own right. The group adopts a holistic approach to support and welcomes children and adults with Down's syndrome, their parents and their carers, siblings, extended families and professional working within the health and education sectors. Our activities are widespread and numerous and include the provision of a listening ear and reassurance for new parents, the opportunity for children to develop through play at our monthly and child group; the purchase of specialist resources for health visitors and support teachers to use with our families; picnics and parties for everyone to come together and share positive experiences as well as raising awareness of challenges to come.
