| Purpose | To facilitate independent living opportunities for disabled people. |
| Services | Disability Direct is a fully accessible information and advice service providing information on most disability issues including access, equipment, employment, holidays, local organisations and much more. There is also a Welfare Rights Service that provides help and advice at all levels of claiming a disability benefit from helping to complete the forms to representation at appeal tribunals. Other projects include an accessible allotment and free arts and crafts activities for disabled people and older people. Disability Direct also runs the 'Direct Payments Support Service' which helps disabled people with all aspects of employing their own PAs with money from Social Services. Our social enterprises offer a payroll service, day activities and independent living support, access audits and the access card.
