| Purpose | BrightLife provides Telephone Befriending Support Services to older people who live in Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire. Weekly calls are delivered by team of trained volunteers. BrightLife will also signpost older people and their families to other agencies for advice such as Welfare Benefits and Community Care Issues. BrightLife takes referrals for older people who are lonely and/or isolated. Referrals can be from Social Prescribers, family members, Adult Social Care staff, or self referrals. Brightlife would like to hear from any person interested in being a volunteer befriender and who is interested in working from our offices based in Queens Park, Chesterfield. BrightLife's volunteers make calls each week to older people who are lonely and isolated. |
