Purpose | Since its inception in 1983, The Prince's Trust Business Programme has supported over 75,000 young people to start businesses through the provision of start up funding and mentoring. In early 2009 the programme's focus was expanded so that, as well as helping young people to start businesses, the programme also offers support to young people interested in self employment to explore and test their ideas and, for those that decide self employment is not right for them, support to achieve alternative outcomes in employment, education, training or voluntary work. Eligibility for the programme - unemployed 18 to 30 year olds who are interested in self employment and have a business idea they would like help to explore. |
