Purpose The organisation promotes the welfare, education, social and recreational needs of inhabitants of the city of Derby who are elderly or in poor mental health.

The Hadhari Project also hosts the Derby Afro-Caribbean Elderly Luncheon Club
Club, which occurs twice a week. The Club provides an opportunity for regular meetings to remove boredom and isolation.
