Purpose The Derby project covers 90% of Derby, including Mickleover, Mackworth, Littleover, Normanton, Peartree, Sinfin, Alvaston, Allenton, Chellaston, Shelton Lock, Spondon, Chaddesden, Oakwood, Darley Abbey and Allestree. The project aim is to provide befriending and social activities to help prevent social isolation and loneliness. The project has two offices, one in Mickleover and one in Spondon. There are several lunch clubs, drop-ins, coffee mornings and social activities across the city. The project provides transport to these activities and also arranges outings, shopping and holidays.
