| Purpose | Age UK Derby and Derbyshire exists for the benefit and wellbeing of older people in Derbyshire. In everything we do we seek to make a positive difference to older people's lives. Our work can touch their lives directly. We provide practical help and support to carers and older people. We seek to influence services which affect older people's quality of life. We take care to value diversity and include and involve people from all communities. |
| Services | Services include information and advice, groups and activities, advocacy, falls prevention, support for carers, wellbeing and healthy living support. We have a range of support groups/social activities in the 50+ Centre in the Eagle Market, including tai chi, knitting groups, widows groups, human rights. In the office on the Morledge, we have a range of visiting experts, (including lawyers, police, and welfare rights) providing information and advice regarding legal, police or benefits issues. We also provide insurance services through the office on the Morledge. Not all services are available in all areas of the city, so please contact us for more information. |
