Purpose

RSPCA Derby is a local animal rehoming charity based on Abbey Street in Derby. We are an independently run charity, which means we have to raise our own funds to keep going. It costs over £12,000 every week to run our centre, and we rely on donations, fundraising, and our charity shops to cover those costs.
Our main role is to care for and rehome abused, neglected and abandoned animals, and support the work of the national RSPCA by caring for animals rescued by their Inspectors. Once with us, these animals receive the treatment, care, and love they need before finding their forever homes. We are almost always full - as soon as one animal goes home, another arrives in need.
Alongside rescue and rehoming, we also promote responsible pet ownership through education and community outreach, helping pet owners give their animals the best possible care.
