Purpose Derby SANDS offers support to bereaved parents and their families when a baby dies at or around the time of birth. Advice and information is offered by telephone or at support meetings. Support is also available through the National helpline and e-mail. The group also offers hospital liaison and organisation of memorial services. It organises fundraising to keep group operational. Ring Head office for local group contacts and support literature. Support Group meetings are held on the second Tuesday night of each month, 7.30 - 9.30pm and are open to anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby. Please note that we do not usually meet in August.
