Purpose The group promotes the development of young people, male and female in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, responsible citizens and members of their local, national and international communities. This is achieved by progressive training based on the Scout Association training scheme and Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. The District provides scouting in the following areas: Derby City, Normanton, Sinfin, Alvaston, Allenton, Shelton Lock, Littleover, Chellaston, Aston on Trent and Osmaston. Age Ranges: Beaver Scouts (aged 6-7), EVB Scouts (aged 8-10.5), Scouts (aged 10.5- 14), Explorer Scouts (aged 14-18), Young Leader Scheme (aged 14-18), Network (aged 18-25), Adult Leadership (18 and above).
