Purpose | It is a voluntary sector led project, which combines and utilises health, education, employment and social care services to improve the lives of people who are affected by mental illness. The focus of the partnership is to support people to actively participate in practical conservation, environmental art and organic gardening, whilst simultaneously enabling them to make a positive contribution to their local community. Reaching out to people across the economically deprived, urban areas of Amber valley, Erewash and Derby City. The GHP delivers a wide variety of activities, which include hedge laying, tree planting, woodland management, environmental sculpture, woodland crafts, footpath construction and allotment work. Much of our work is done in partnership with voluntary and statutory conservation agencies. Not primarily for mental illness anyone can volunteer. |
