Purpose | Carr-Gomm provides support for people over the age of 16 with learning and mental health difficulties and people who are homeless or looking for support to develop social and life skills. Carr-Gomm is a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and Charity whose principle function is to provide supportive environments that empower and enable individuals with support needs to attain maximum independence. Needs are identified by the client and formulated into an Individual Support Plan with the Project Worker. Progress is monitored and regularly reviewed. There are two service provisions in Derby; 7 rooms with more supported living and 4 rooms in second house for 'move-on' and further independent living with less support. |
Services | Support offered could be around developing life skills i.e. shopping, budgeting, cooking etc. Also help with forms and claiming benefits.Support includes: managing finance, welfare benefit signposting and developing independent social skills. As well as housing services, Carr-Gomm offers support to stop drug or alcohol misuse and ex offenders and signpost them to access appropriate services. |
