Purpose

First Steps ED is an award-winning quality assured mental health and specialist eating disorder charity working across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire delivering the best care and support for adults, children and young people providing coping strategies and recovery services which are directly commissioned by NHS partners. First Steps ED offers an end to end care pathway for individuals who are struggling with eating disorders/ eating related difficulties with or without a diagnosis via a number of best practice approaches and unique support methods.

Eligibility Criteria First Steps ED is the Midlands leading eating disorder charity. We support people all over Derbyshire who are affected by any eating difficulties or disorder; this includes parents, partners and families. You don’t have to be diagnosed with a particular eating disorder. We accept anybody of any age, gender, ethnicity or religion. Anybody who is struggling with any type of eating difficulty or disorder.

Service Costs no costs of attending any children and young people services to under 18 year olds. Adult counselling rates between £10 and £45 with confessions available for unemployed and financial hardship.
