Purpose | The aim of Women’s Work is to improve the health and well-being of individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency. Women’s Work aim to do the following: ·Educate vulnerable women and their families about the harms related to substance use and misuse. ·Reduce substance misuse amongst women, targeting street sex workers and other vulnerable women by facilitating access to drug treatment. ·support women offenders by offering advice on a range of issues relevant to their needs. To provide support, advice and information to vulnerable women and their families who are involved in substance and alcohol misuse. To facilitate the promotion of healthy lifestyles/habits amongst the client group and their families. To support women offenders by offering advice on a range of issues relevant to their needs in an attempt to reduce offending. To provide an accessible counselling service and therapeutic interventions. To develop innovative ways to engage vulnerable women. |

The Little Links Project (Emotional support and therapeutic interventions for children living with parental substance misuse). 3. The Bigger Difference Project (Sex worker health, safety and exiting project). 4. The Turnaround Project (Reducing female offending and providing alternatives to custody). Foston Prison & Community Counselling Service (Psychological therapies for women). 5. Eastern European women support service(information and support for women engaged in the sex industry) ·Individual Counselling ·Crisis intervention and support, home visits and advocacy ·Open access advice surgery ·Freedom Programme delivery ·Strengthening Families strengthening communities Parenting Programme delivery ·One to one key-working and mentoring ·Life Skills and Health Workshops ·Hospital, GP& Dental appointment chaperone service ·Primary care registration ·Individual learning assessments & educational programmes ·Creche facilities ·Pregnancy testing ·Chlamydia Screening ·Drug and alcohol harm reduction ·BBV, drug/alcohol and sexual health brief interventions ·Drop-in offering informal access to shower, laundry, clothing, internet and food ·Street Outreach |
