| Purpose | The Padley shop is unique in that it is the only homegrown charity shop in Derby City Centre. It is located in Sadler Gate in the award-winning Cathedral Quarter of Derby and is surrounded by specialist shops and cafes. The stock at the shop comes from donations made by the general public, various organisations and businesses. All donations are sorted to ensure supplies of clothing are available for Homeless Centre clients, for sale at the shop, recycling and special clothes sale events. |
| Services | The shop/warehouse has a dual purpose. income generation for the Charity and work experience/skills development under our umbrella of ‘helping people grow’. FOOD VOUCHERS You can give a homeless person seeking support a food voucher instead of money when you see them. This will provide a hot meal and a hot drink at the Padley Homeless Centre. They cost £1 each from the Padley Charity Shop on Sadler Gate, The Padley Homeless Centre on Becket Street, Loughborough Building society on Babington Lane or Young Ideas @ Bennetts on Iron Gate. It also gives them an opportunity to seek help, support, shelter and advice from fully qualified support workers. |
