Purpose Steps for the Future is a performing arts group for adults with learning differences, physical differences and/or mental health issues. At present we run three classes, dance drama and music and each class meets once a week. Steps aims to provide a safe and friendly environment for students to expolre their own creativity through performance.

We regularly stage our own fund raising shows, and also may be hired for a fee. We have performed in The Assembly Rooms, Derby Dance Centre and Derby Theatre.
Services Dance Class - we do not teach dance, we facilitate. Students use their own creativity to create their own dances.

Drama Class - students write and direct thier own drama performances with support from staff volunteers.

Music Class - this is the only class we bring a teacher for. We support students to learn basic guitar, drumming etc.

Eligibility Criteria Our classes are open to adults with disabilities. There is an informal interview before we can accept new students.

Service Costs Students are charged £7.50 per session or £30 per session if they have a personal budget provided by the council. These charges were last reviewed January 2012.
