Purpose MICRO E's mission is to relieve poverty among the disadvantaged communities in the Derby area through providing affordable community credit and micro investment opportunities to financially excluded individuals.

Objectives:
To provide access to affordable home credit to financially excluded Derby residents at more favourable rates than doorstep lenders.
To provide convenience and easy access to loans and other financial services to disadvantaged communities.
To achieve a strong profile amongst service users in the extended area to ensure that traditionally hard to reach groups feel able to contact MICRO-E in preference to doorstep lenders.
Promote research and development of local initiatives and models of financial inclusion.
