Purpose

Promotion of interest of members of the public in all aspects of wildlife and the environment. Also covers Geology, Archaeology and Industrial Archaeology.

Services

Monthly indoor talks; outdoor field meetings twice monthly in Derbyshire  and adjacent parts of Cheshire, Staffordshire, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire; holidays in areas of natural history interest elsewhere in Britain.

Opening Times Indoor meetings on 3rd Friday of the month, commencing 7.30 p.m. (except May to August). Outdoor meetings commencing 10.00 a.m., twice a month, rotating about the seven days of the week.
Eligibility Criteria Any members of the public, including children.
Meeting Place Indoor: Library Lecture Room, New Mills. Outdoor:Car Park front of New Mills Town Hall (cars shared).
Service Costs Membership £8 per annum.
