Purpose | To encourage the practice of visual art as an enjoyable recreational activity, as a means to enhance social activity, good health and community spirit and to combat social isolation. The club is purposely kept to around twenty members so it is small and friendly. This also means each participant has enough space to work comfortably and safely. |
Services | We provide a local place where members can meet weekly to pursue their chosen art projects and learn from occasional art demonstrations and workshops. Activities including painting and drawing in various media. We bring our own art materials along with us. We all 'do our own thing' unless it is a demo week. Members work in a variety of media, including watercolours, acrylics, pastels, pencils and ink. We hold a small library of art books and magazines for our members. |
