Purpose | The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust is a Charitable organisation set up in 1993 to look after the steam locomotives in its care. The Trust exists to promote interest in the Stanier Pacific steam locomotives of the London Midland and Scottish Railway and the Standard Class 4 Tank locomotives of British Railways. Services | The West Shed Museum houses a collection of historic steam locomotives and railway coaches. We are open for visitors every day of the year, admission free. As an independent organisation we have many volunteers who help in different areas including museum guides, souvenir sales, engineering and restoration projects. Activities for school visits are available. Group visits welcome. |
