| Purpose | We are a group of local people who, as part of a growing "Transition" network made up of towns and cities all over the world, are exploring how we can increase our community's ability to withstand the twin challenges of peak oil and climate change. Our activities are all aimed at making the market town of Belper a more sustainable place for us all to live, work and play, and at the same time reducing our impact on the planet and our individual and community carbon footprint. |

| Opening Times | We have regular meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at the Strutt Community Centre in Belper 19:30 to 21:30. Apart from that, we have a number of activities which happen at different times. |
