Purpose | To advance education in the subjects of: welfare, well-being, quality of life, happiness and enjoyment, equity, equality and ethical communities, social, environmental and economic welfare, the arts, cultural heritage, landscape and natural heritage, wildlife and animal welfare, responsible, compassionate and sustainable lifestyles, climate change and eco-philosophy, enterprise and volunteer issues, for public benefit. |
Services | Objectives: • Strive to create opportunities and support, open to all, to help them meet their needs and fulfil their ethical aspirations, demonstrating that enterprise is rooted in and responsible to communities and future generations. We work cooperatively with organisations, such as Dawn Chorus Educational Initiative CIC, to create positive business models with input from all levels of the community, favouring self management and worker ownership. • Deliver community learning and skills development in order that they can enrich the lives of people and become available to the labour market in exchange for fair compensation, security and dignity. • Help Communities to protect and conserve the life-sustaining systems of the planet; promoting respect and compassion for human communities, the natural environment, wild or open-pollinated heirloom plants, habitats, ecosystems, ecological communities and all animals, all are too precious to be made commodities, harmed or exploited and all should be free from suffering, neglect and cruelty. • Work with communities, discussing & exploring how there own resources and destinies can be secured & fostering the understand that life resources, such as water, needed by all: plants and animals & humans should be affordable & accessible to all, uncontaminated & sustainably managed; we educate communities to help them to bring about positive behavioural change, fostering compassion for all animals & environments. • Cooperate with indigenous communities, respecting there right to seek inclusion in international agreements among nations, giving a voice to indigenous people, who must be on an equal footing with other people & nations with right to sovereignty over there lands. • Understand that places have special meaning to communities & indigenous people & have habitats & ecosystems which are irreplaceable & often beautiful & should not be desecrated by exploitation. • Support access to culture & human heritage, that is respectful of human, animal & environmental well-being & is vitally important to society. • Assist understanding of democratic systems and foster the skills needed to participate in decisions that affect our communities, including economic decisions; encourage the organisation of democracy on a scale which enables people to participate in the decisions that impact on there lives, including areas new to public participation, encouraging collective responsibility, to assure the basic means of life, growth and development are available for all.
