| Purpose | To provide a healthy, nourishing, freshly cooked lunch, principally but not exclusively for older peopl. To provide a warm, safe friendly atmosphere in which people, who may feel isolated or vulnerable, may come, meet with friends and share some social interaction. To offer a focus on one day in the week when people can get out, enjoy a meal at a reasonable cost (£2.50 per head) and meet with others. To provide a friendly, supportive network for people who may be on their own at home and who may want to enjoy coming either as a diner or as a volunteer. To offer meals qith fresh ingredients which some people may find less easy or perhaps rather daunting on their own at home. |
