Purpose

To help people with mental health problems, or on the autistic scale, to regain their independance by training their pet dog specifically for their needs, thus giving them increased confidence, comfort and companionship.

Services

Darwin Dogs CIC trains the dogs of people with mental health problems, or who are on the autistic scale, to a standard, set by Assistance Dogs UK, to qualify the dog as an Assistance Dog, if required, or to be a support dog, whichever best suits the client's needs.

Eligibility Criteria Potential clients must be dog owners and must have a diagnosed mental health condition or be on the autistic scale. A client must be registered disabled to be eligible for a qualified Assistance Dog.
