Purpose To organise and run the Hayfield Well Dressing festival usually held during the second week of July.
Services Act as liaison between groups, publicize and promote the event with an educational element provided to the public via access to "Wells in the making " during construction of the well decorations..

Eligibility Criteria Available to members of the public and village organisations which sponsor a Well Dressing.
Meeting Place Five main Wells plus Wells from the schoo; and play groups are within half a mile of the village centre. There are two wells abouit 3 miles from the centre at Little Hayfield and Hill Houses.
Service Costs The annual expenditure on materials, flowers, Clay, maintenance and insurance is about £1000. This is usually covered by sponsorship and collections at the well sites. A modest donation is usually made to a local charity.
