Purpose The Aim of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical,
intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as
members of their local, national and international communities.
Services Scouting is a well respected Youth Organisation, the largest in the world and is well known for the wide range of activities available - from camping and outdoor skills to the more modern activities such as zorbing.

Meeting Place There are 6 groups in the Ripley and Heanor Scout District - 1st Erewash who meet at Langley mill, 1st Sitwell who meet at Horsley Woodhouse, 1st Ripley, 3rd Codnor, 2nd Swanwick and 1st Loscoe.
Service Costs There is an annual membership fee covering insurance etc. It changes each year, but is usually in the £25 mark, then there is a weekly fee which difers for each Group depending on thier running costs but is usually about £2.
