| Purpose | We aim to provide information and support to people affected by Parkinson's, to raise awareness and a better understanding about the condition and its impact on day to day life, and to support research into finding better treatments and a cure for the condition. We organise social meetings and sometimes arrange a speaker, and there is always time to chat over a cuppa. For up to date information about our activities please visit https://www.parkinsons.org.uk You can also access support from our Parkinson’s Adviser Service. We provide free, confidential, one-to-one information and practical help around all things Parkinson's related, including benefits and employment, blue badge schemes, carer's support, housing, social care etc. The service is there for anyone affected by the condition, including carers, family and friends. | Services | In addition to the aims described previously we have trips, out to places which are easily accessible for everybody. We have speakers selected by members, a Christmas lunch at the Ashford Arms, Christmas party and a Strawberry Tea. |
