| Purpose | To involve the local residents in the development of the Inspire Community organic garden to promote general health & wellbeing, community involvement and to promote healthy exercise and a shared purpose. |
| Services | The garden was founded in 2016 on a seriously overgrown patch of land that for over 200 years had been part of the allotment site. It has been brought back to life and now functions as a community organic garden, growing produce to share among the volunteers and to offer surplus produce to food banks and community kitchens. In a relaxing atmosphere, we have a pond full of wildlife, a caravan and viewing platform where we encourage relaxation and offer refreshments throughout our time on the plot. Volunteers are involved in all stages of growing from sowing seeds, potting on, preparing the growing beds, planting out and harvesting. Open days are held a few times a year, when feasible, to promote the existence of the garden and to encourage new volunteers to join. We welcome people of all levels of gardening ability. |
