Purpose | - To improve the young person’s self-esteem through a positive relationship with a mentor. - To improve the young person’s basic literacy, numeracy and life skills. - To build the young person’s confidence through achievement. - To provide positive role models for the young person. - To empower the young person. - To reduce the potential of offending behaviour. |
Services | Buddy Plus+ volunteers provide a 1 to 1 mentoring service for young people between the ages of 8 and 18. |

Opening Times | The meetings between the volunteer mentor and the young person are arranged at a mutually agreeable time for the two of them. |
Eligibility Criteria | The young people are referred to the project by YOS or YISP case managers and CICES staff. |
Meeting Place | Mentoring meetings take place in the community at a place and time agreeable to both the mentor and the young person. |
