Purpose | The Staveley Support Group is a user-led peer-to-peer support group for people affected by mental health issues based in Staveley, Chesterfield.We meet in a safe non-judgemental environment and aim to provide mutual support to each other by encouraging members to socialise, build upon their social skills and form new friendships within the group. Along with sharing and exploring self-help and coping techniques wherever possible to alleviate the symptoms of mental illness and distress.We work closely with Rethink Mental Illness and the Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service. We are also supported by Derbyshire Voluntary Action. |
