Purpose
The ultimate heavy metal - Ring the world's heaviest and loudest (unamplified) musical instruments (using rhythm, not music).
Each bell weighs between 8 stone and 4 tons: swing it upside down to split-second accuracy, controlling it with just a rope!
Services

Bell
ringing is an inclusive all-age (9+) activity for
people of all faiths and none.
It is a fantastic
exercise, enjoyable, rewarding, very social and a
great way to unwind (you don't need to be strong,
musical, mathematical or attend church).
Learn traditional bell ringing in a modern and lively atmosphere with a friendly group of people of all ages from 9 upwards.

Opening Times Mondays 7-9pm (new trainees from 6pm by arrangement) Sundays 8:45-9:30am (trained ringers only)
Eligibility Criteria Trainee bell ringers should be aged 9 or over. You need to be able to: count, raise arms above head, climb 15 steps, concentrate and act responsibly (e.g. anyone who can/would be able to drive a car). It is the perfect activity for families, couples or individuals, young people, teens and adults. Ringing is one big supportive community - If you go on holiday or travel for your work, you are often welcomed by the local ringers at their practice session.
