Purpose

We are an informal group who enjoy a chat over a drink and cake as well as reading short pieces of poetry around different themes each month.

You are welcome to bring pieces to read, or just come along and  be part of the group and listen to the poems that we bring with us.  We have a mix of poems to make you smile , to make you ponder and create
discussion.  

Services

We are a reading and discussion group for people with dementia and those affected by dementia such as carers. 

The group is run by volunteers under the umbrella of Derbyshire Carers.

Opening Times We meet once a month, on the first Thursday of the month. We start at 11 am and usually finish around 12.15- 12.30 pm.
Eligibility Criteria We are open to people with dementia with their carer or friend / relative.
Meeting Place We currently meet at All Saints Church hall, Smedley Street, Matlock
Service Costs No cost to group members.
