Purpose

We are a community of immigrants from Kerala, India popularly known as Malayali. Majority of our community members work within Health and Social Care sector mainly with Chesterfield Royal Hospital. We also have IT Professionals, Lawyers and Engineers in our midst now. Though this association was started by the Nurses in 2010 for their families. Now it has grown to a strength of around 150+ famliies. It is no longer a small family get together when we meet up. We help new immigrants who come into Chesterfield integrate into the society. We celebrate our festivals and organise get togethers. We teach our kids the language malayalam, keep them in touch with our culture, traditions and heritage. We also help the community stay fit by encouraging sporting events like Badminton tournaments. This com munity does not stand for any religion, political ideologies or social class. We are inclusive of all people who hail from the region of Kerala.
