Purpose
Derby Arts and Theatre Association (DATA) was founded in 1986 and
registered as a charity a little later.





DATA's purpose is to serve the interests of its member societies. It does this by both lobbying on their behalf, for example to press for the provision of adequate, suitable venues, for our member societies' performances, and also by promoting those performances to encourage attendance by members of the public.





It doing this, DATA promotes the amateur performing arts generally, in and around the Derby area, for the education and entertainment of all.
Services
The Derby Arts and Theatre Association (DATA) is the representative
body for amateur performing arts in the Derby area. It that capacity, DATA lobbies in our member societies' interests.





DATA also
maintains a list of Events staged
by DATA's member Societies - the
DATA Diary. Member societies may list their upcoming productions in the DATA Diary via our website.





Events that are published in the DATA Diary are automatically promoted via email marketing and social media channels.

Eligibility Criteria DATA members must be amateur performing arts societies based in or near to the Derby area. Our member societies stage theatre, music or musical theatre performances.
