Purpose

We
are a very friendly society with a love for singing. 

Open
to all ages and abilities, our main focus is an annual Gilbert &
Sullivan production, which is usually performed in Bakewell
during the summer and is accompanied by a live orchestra. We
also produce entertaining and varied concerts featuring music
such as Handel's 'Zadok the Priest' to Sondheim's songs from West
Side Story.

Singing carols and other festive favourites at
Chatsworth House's annual Christmas market has also started to become
a group tradition.

Opening Times We rehearse every Friday 7.30pm - 9.30pm On the run up to shows, we rehearse occasional Wednesday evenings too.
Eligibility Criteria Anyone wishing to join the society is required to take part in a short audition for the Musical Director. This requires the auditionee to sing a song of their choice. Don't let musical ability put you off - we are an extremely friendly and supportive group!
