Purpose

Chesterfield Foodbank provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food, essentials and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The foodbank has four distribution centres at Brimington, West Bars, New Whittington & Loundsley Green.

Eligibility Criteria You need to a referral to use the foodbank. You can get these through an agency (e.g. doctors surgery, school, charity, social worker) if you are engaging with one. Alternatively you can get a referral from Help Through Hardship by calling 0808 208 2138 (Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00) or Chesterfield Citizens Advice 0808 278 78 43 (Mon - Fri 09:00 - 14:00). They can provide you with a referral number to bring to one of our centres.
