| Purpose | B:friend works to reduce loneliness in older people through one to one befriending and community social clubs. We believe that no-one should have no-one and work with amazing volunteers who provide company to those who need it most. Volunteers need to be aged 18 and above and the people they befriend are all over 65, live alone and done have specialist support needs. Befriending takes place in the older neighbours home. All Volunteers and older neighbours have the support of a befriending coordinator throughout their time with b:friend. We have three social clubs in Derbyshire - Chesterfield, Bolsover and Clay Cross. |
