Description | All of our accommodation is of a high standard, our accommodation location is risk assessed and designed around the service user to enable a comfortable supported living arrangement. We initially house new clients in a HMO for the maximum of 12 months, within this time if we feel the client is ready to move on to independent living we will move them to one of our one bed apartments or they will move on with local authority (housing options) which will enable them to lead an independent life. Having service users at the front of all decision making reinforces the importance of empowering those to live independently within the community. The way our service works is that all service users get a personal centred support plan which includes a 1 to 1 support session once a week, welfare check depending on the service users needs, and an out of hours emergency phone line. Our support staff will be at least level 2 trained in a relevant discipline, with at least one years experience within the field. This will ensure the staff are trained and have experience as well as having demonstrated care for service users. If our clients are in recovery from substance and alcohol addiction we encourage them to use external support services and support them to engage. Our accommodation portfolio is increasing due to our overseas investors buying properties designed for our service. This also enables us to have properties nationwide, if we have a referral that needs to flee the area due to a threat of violence or needs to be relocated we can house them in a different county. |
