Purpose | At the British Liver Trust, we offer support to people affected by a liver condition in many different ways: • We produce a wide range of information on liver health, liver conditions and local support in the form of leaflets and factsheets which can be seen on our website – www.britishlivertrust.org.uk – alternatively hard copies of the publications can be ordered by patients, and we have posters/leaflets for display in GP surgeries etc. • We facilitate a number of virtual support groups which meet regularly to discuss a variety of topics as many patients and families affected by a liver condition find it helpful to speak to others with shared experience who understand their situation. • We have a nurse-led helpline that patients can contact should they have any questions about their condition, on 0800 652 7330 open weekdays between 10am and 3pm (not bank holidays) or they can email helpline@britishlivertrust.org.uk (emails can be sent at any time and are answered during helpline hours). • We run awareness events, notably our Love Your Liver Roadshow that tours the UK to raise awareness of liver health and promote early detection of liver conditions through our at-risk screener and FibroScan machine. |
