| Purpose | To benefit residents of Glapwell and surrounding areas without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions, associating together residents, local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in common effort to provide facilities in interests of education and social welfare for recreation and leisure occupation with objectives of improving conditions of life for residents. |
| Services | Mondays we currently have a Warm welcoming space, from 10AM-2PM, Anyone of any age is welcome however the chair based exercises are aimed at improving the mobility of the elderly. the community come in at 10, have warm drinks and a chat over some biscuits, then they have a chair based exercise session and afterwards a nice prepared meal all for free (donations welcome to help it continue). Tuesdays we have cafe and quiz day, come along, purchase something from the cafe and then participate in the quiz, either general knowledge or themed, (no charge or prize for the quiz, just for fun) and you can also buy a raffle ticket for a few items we have had donated. Wednesdays is Bingo, from 2-4PM, £9 for 3 books or £12 for 6 books, have some fun and try to win some money back. Also able to purchase from the cafe whilst there too. |
