Purpose Alzheimer's Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia.

Our vision is a world without dementia. Our mission is to change the face of dementia research, demonstrate best practice in dementia care and support, provide the best advice and support to anyone dealing with dementia and to influence the state and society to enable those affected by dementia to live as long as they wish to live
Services The Derbyshire Dementia Support Service run by the Alzheimers Society offers a range of support to people with dementia and their carers. Our dementia support service can provide one to one  information and ongoing support around: understanding dementia, treatments, how to get help locally, maintaining independence, financial and legal matters. caring for people with dementia, changes in relationships and behaviour, community care and long stay care. We also run a programme or memory cafes, carer support groups, singing for the brain and carer information programmes.
