| Services | WHAT DOES A VOLUNTEER CENTRE DO Volunteer Development Agencies (often know as volunteer centres or volunteer bureaux) provide support at a local level for individual volunteers and volunteer involving organisations. We have six core functions: Brokerage Marketing volunteering Good practice development Develop volunteering opportunities Strategic development of volunteering Policy response and campaigning Volunteer recruitment for CVS and other local organisations eg Citizens Advice, Homestart, Help the Aged. We work in partnership with over 100 organisations in the local area. Publicity for your volunteering opportunities. If you would like to register your volunteer opportunities with us please call on 0115 9466740. Support & training eg Child Protection, Health & Safety, First Aid, meetings, newsletters and by simply being here. Insurance cover for registered volunteers. We promote Volunteering in many ways.
