Purpose Fleet Arts is the leading Arts Development organisation in mid-Derbyshire. Their purpose is to promote and deliver high quality arts opportunities, encouraging participation and fostering a lifelong learning culture. Their current focus is on music development with young people, working across mid-Derbyshire and City of Derby. Other work across mid-Derbyshire includes visual arts and crafts for all ages, working in community contexts, from training for adults working with children and young people.

We aim to:
- Widen participation and access to the
arts
- Meet the needs of the diverse
communities in the area
- Act as an advocate for participation in
the arts
- Stimulate creative expectations
- Use the arts as an agent for change and
empowerment
- Contribute to the regeneration of
communities
Services Projects and workshops are in a huge range of creative activities including:

- Music - drumming, percussion, acoustic instruments, recording techniques, electronic/synthesised sounds, beat-boxing and lyric writing.
- DJ-ing and VJ-ing
- Visual arts - including sculpture drawing and print-making
- Crafts - including textiles, paper making, jewellery and willow work.
- Photography - mainly digital and manipulating images
- Performance - mime, puppetry, dance, drama, multi-media.
- Projects which mix together various arts either working towards events, performances or exhibitions - or purely as a creative experience without a "result" to show to the public.
One-off workshops are usually something that a worker already offers, but which could be tailored to different themes. Longer projects can be developed and made individual to schools' or organisations' needs.
Most workshops can offer individual working and the opportunity to do something collaboratively - this obviously depends on the needs of the people taking part, and whether you feel that option would/would not be beneficial for all or some of those people.
